Visit to the LSBB Underground Laboratory
Participants will have the opportunity to visit the LSBB (Laboratoire Souterrain à Bas Bruit), a unique underground research facility located in Rustrel, in the heart of the Luberon Regional Natural Park. Originally built as part of France’s Cold War nuclear deterrence infrastructure, the site has been converted into an international research facility. The guided tour will include the underground galleries and an introduction to the scientific activities currently conducted at the LSBB, including geophysics, environmental monitoring, and fundamental physics experiments carried out in an ultra-low noise environment.
